1) Write the definition of the following key language for newspaper front pages (you may want to add an example for each from our Daily Mirror CSP):

2) How much does a copy of the Daily Mirror cost? (Note: the current cost is different to the CSP edition - we recommend learning both).
The Daily Mail currently costs approximately £1.40 for one paper however subscriptions can be bought to make this price lower.

3) What are the main stories on the CSP edition of the Daily Mirror (see above)? Make sure you learn the headline and what the stories are about.
A football pull-out, the winners of Pride of Britain, heat is on complaining about global warming.

4) Why is the choice of news stories and content on the Mirror CSP front page typical of a tabloid newspaper?
They present multiple, quite serious matters that can be seen to affect the real world.

5) What is the balance on the Daily Mirror front page between images, headlines and text?
There is a balence of a fun pull-out, to the soft news of hearing about the winners of PoB to a contrasting hard news showing the urgency of climate change.

Representations

1) What political party does the Daily Mirror support? Is there any evidence to support this in the CSP pages we have studied?
The Daily Mirror supports the left wing of the labour party. This is further exposed as in a later page a negative portrayal of Boris Johnson is depicted as he is made to be viewed as a useless PM.

2) How does the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards represent ordinary British people?
It is for the pride of there own country so perhaps makes themselves feel proud of the children that have one as the feel as if they identify with them - personal identity, blummer and katz

3) How is climate change as an issue represented in the Daily Mirror? What evidence can you provide from the CSP pages to support this?
Climate change is presented as a life threatening issue in the Daily Mirror however they use this to bring down Borris Johnson referencing him when they discus Cop 26
4) How are environmental protesters like Greta Thunberg represented in the Daily Mirror? Look at the inside pages to answer this.
Greta Thumberg was idolized and respected in her place in the newspaper, as they portray her as a independent figure fighting for our country doing the work the PM cannot.

5) Read the main articles on the inside pages. How are different countries, political leaders and Royals represented in the Daily Mirror? Does this reinforce or subvert the stereotypes we usually see in the media?
Political leaders are shut down and disrespected as an act of rebellion to show they're right wind sided views of society.
