The views portrayed are more passive so editors opinions and beliefs are expressed which seem to often be similar to those of there target audience.

Surveillance – the main reason we read newspapers is to find out what is going on in the world around us.  We find out news, different opinions and catch up with the latest gossip and scandal. 
Diversion/Entertainment – One of the main reasons we read newspapers is for entertainment.  Whether it’s enjoying reading the opinions of others, reading the cartoons or completing crosswords.  We want to be entertained. 

4) Why are print newspapers generally read by older audiences?
Technology's use is more increasing with the newer population as they dispose of there print copies and instead replace it with there phones or laptops however for the older generations there traditions rely more of paper copies and therefore they rely and purchase print copies more.

5) How is the inside-page story on our CSP pages constructed to appeal to Daily Mirror readers? Think about text and selection of images.
The newspaper uses a criticizing perspective to enhance left wing views by attempting to take down those in great power like Borris Johnson.

Daily Mirrror is owned by Reach who were previously known as Trinity and are falling increasingly due to the significant online presence.

Daily Mirror's editor Alison Philips was known for exposing political idols during the time of quarantining as they were caught breaking the own rules they'd reinforced for the population.

The Daily Mirror's circulation has fallen drastically over the years from over 3 million a day in 1990 down to around 250,000 a day in 2023.

Immediacy - the news of Borris Johnson during lock-down was reported immediately soon after it was spotted
Familiarity  most of the news includes the events happening in Britain's political world and what are PM are doing to support
Amplitude - COP-26 involved many political leaders from around the world who came together to discuss the issues of global warming.
Predictability - COP-26 is an event that has occurred several years in a row and therefore seems like a predictable event and what's to happen during it.
Negativity - speaking about our slowly dying planet as it burns up is almost threatening the population of what the world will look like if we don't do anything about it.
